We provide design services, manage the approval process, and consult with council, certifiers, and any other necessary consultants or departments until approval is obtained. We can also provide full project management services as required. 

Having started in the construction industry in 2000, Peter Cook established P J Cook Building in 2011. Quality, not quantity, is all-important to Peter. Rather than setting out to be the biggest building company, he wanted the P J Cook name to become synonymous with uncompromising quality. Peter has a personal, hands-on approach with high expectations for employees and subcontractors while overseeing a transparent, innovative construction process.

Peter is not only a licensed Builder but also a licensed Carpenter by trade, and he has been in the construction industry since 2000. Peter is structured, systematic and passionate about his trade. He is also passionate about raising industry standards and challenging perceptions of builders and the construction industry.

Many home building companies employ full-time maintenance divisions to fix faults that arise after handover. We believe that employing full-time maintenance divisions instils a bad culture among subcontractors, as they are likely to leave the little things and pay insufficient attention to detail, knowing that faults will be picked up by the maintenance team during the maintenance period. At times, this can extend beyond the standard 13-week maintenance period. This approach is inconvenient for homeowners or tenants. That’s why P J Cook Building is focused on getting it right the first time.

We are not claiming to be perfect, but our focus is on getting your new home or investment in tip-top shape before handover. If we miss anything, however, we are only ever a phone call or an email away.

In addition to our commitment above, your new home or investment comes with a standard three-month maintenance guarantee. This guarantee covers you for any defects that may occur as your home or investment property settles.

You will also enjoy additional peace of mind with a 6-year structural warranty backed by a builder with a solid track record who will remain in the industry long enough to support it.

We understand that everyone is busy, but we also understand the importance of involving you in the building experience. We can arrange for one of our consultants to visit you on site at a time that is convenient for you, between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday through Friday, and on Saturday between 8.00 am and 1.00 pm.

We are focused on ensuring your building experience is as simple and enjoyable as possible, involving you as much as possible and making our time available when it is convenient for you.
